Ingredients (for 12 pieces):
Margarine to spread
225 gr macaroni
1 tablespoon cooking oil / margarine
150 g onions, chopped
150 g smoked bacon, sliced 1 x 2 cm
2 tablespoons margarine, for sauteing
300 gr corned beef
800 cc of liquid milk
8 eggs, beaten
1 ½ tsp salt
1 ½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
200 gr grated cheddar cheese
50 ounces grated cheddar cheese, for topping
How to Make macaroni schotel:
1. Preheat oven at 180 C. Grease a heat resistant dish with margarine.
2. Boil the water to boiling, put the macaroni, add 1 tablespoon cooking oil / margarine, so that the macaroni from sticking.
3. Boil macaroni over high heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Lift.
4. Flush with water or ice water until the macaroni is not too hot, drain.
5. Heat 2 tablespoons margarine and saute onions until wilted, put macaroni, bacon, and corned beef, stir. Remove from the heat.
6. Pour the milk and beaten eggs, add salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir.
7. Enter 200 gr grated cheese. Stir until smooth, remove from heat.
8. Pour into a heat resistant dish, sprinkle with grated cheese 50 gr.
* Bake in the oven for 45 minutes until cooked. Lift.
